At Edna's Space you will find various services and treatments to facilitate your journey in holistic beauty and well-being. Below you will find short explanations to some of our signature service.
CAVITATION (a.k.a. radio frequency treatments)
Ultrasonic or ultrasound cavitation is a non-surgical method of reducing cellulite and localised fat. This procedure involves applying pressure on fat cells through ultrasonic vibrations. The pressure is high enough to make the fat cells break down into a liquid form. from where it is excreted as waste. Ultrasonic cavitation reduces the body’s fat deposits that could be hard to get rid of by exercising alone. It is best for reducing cellulite and adipose fat. This improves body shape and contour and reduces circumference. As a facial treatment, it rejuvenates and helps repair your skin and stimulates its natural healing. It is a gentle, non-invasive treatment that is safe and suitable for all skin types. This advanced anti-ageing procedure gives your skin a much healthier, more youthful look and feel. Ultrasound is an effective treatment for fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, age spots and mature skin.
REFLEXOLOGY
Reflexology is a gentle art, a fascinating science and an extremely effective niche in the field of alternative medicine. It is also the star treatment of our space. The art of reflexology must not be confused with a basic foot massage or body massage in general. It is a specific pressure technique that works on precise reflex points on the feet, based on the promise that reflex areas on the feet correspond with all body parts. In essence: The feet represent a microcosm of the body, all the organs, glands and other body parts are laid out in a similar arrangement on the feet. The science is based on the principle that there are reflex points on the feet which relate to the corresponding organs in the body. Stimulation of these specific points relieves the issues within the related system in the body. Regular treatments lead to overall (holistic) health and well-being.

PRESSOTHERAPY
Pressotherapy, also known as lymphatic drainage, is a non-invasive treatment that involves the application of air pressure - alternating between compression and decompression - on parts of the body. This can help to stimulate the lymphatic system, which helps to clear toxins from the body and stimulate blood circulation. Pressure is applied with a specialised pressotherapy device. A machine controls the pressure of the pressotherapy device, which is worn around different limbs. The machine will send a sequence of different air pressures to the device, switching between pressing on a limb and then deflating. A pressotherapy session lasts between 30 and 45 minutes. For the best result, usually a series of sessions are recommended, depending on your specific needs.
SHIATSU
Shiatsu is a gentle pressure point therapy developed in Japan and incorporating techniques of anma (Japanese traditional massage), acupressure, stretching, and Western massage. It releases the muscles of the back, shoulders and neck. Shiatsu can be translated as finger pressure, and has been described as needle-free acupuncture. By administering this gentle application over the body to dissipate stress and muscular tension, it promotes (w)holistic health and well-being, and it is the perfect compliment to reflexology.

HAIR REMOVAL
Waxing is the process of hair removal from the root by using a covering of a sticky substance (such as wax) which adheres to body hair, then removing this covering and pulling out the hair from the follicle. It is a long-lasting method, as hair in waxed areas will not grow back for two to six weeks. In addition, regrowth will be finer, thinner and slower, and over time hair growth may stop altogether.
Electrolysis is the removal of unwanted hair through the means of a probe or needle inserted into the hair follicle. The aim is to damage the base of the growing hair in order to cut off the blood supply and nutrition to the hair, preventing any new growth from developing. The technique when performed correctly is highly selective and no damage should occur to surrounding tissues. It is impossible to give an estimate on clearance of an area as hair growth depends on hormonal and other factors but for complete permanent removal each hair has to be treated a number of times whilst it in the growing stage.

FAT FREEZE
The Cooltech® Fat Freezing system has been fully approved for medical use to freeze fat and has been awarded the CE-Medical mark. It is the perfect method for reducing localised and general fat in patients who do not wish to undergo surgical procedures.
Surgery can come with risks, but with fat freezing you can have the same results without the invasive procedure. Worldwide, there has already been more than 250,000 fat freezing treatments carried out, which remains the perfect option for diet-resistant lumps and bulges. The procedure is very simple. There is a gentle application of cooling suction cups to the targeted fatty area. We then freeze the fat down to -8 degrees Celsius with a suction cup that ensures that there is blending to the untreated tissues. You will be left with the most natural looking result possible. Each treatment takes about 60-70 minutes. Afterwards you may experience some discomfort which will improve over the next hour. You can continue with your normal activities straight away, and you will start to notice results at around 2 weeks which will improve all the way up to 6 months. You may wish to have a further reduction on the same area you and can have a second or even third session about 1 month apart to the same area. In our experience, most patients benefit most from 2 sessions.
Treatable Areas: Upper Abdomen, Lower Abdomen, Inner Thighs, Outer Thighs, Knees, Upper arms, Back, Lower Buttocks, Love handles
FACIAL TREATMENTS
A facial is a multi-step, multi-purpose skin treatment including steam, face masks, exfoliation, cleansing, a face massage and a variety of creams and lotions. There are many types of facial treatments, and choosing the one you need depends on your skin type and skin issues. Some are highly moisturising, others are firming and restoring, while some focus on problem areas and certain skin conditions.
